Len Webb is the captain of the ship. He's been here the longest and by that, we mean the Earth. That means he's forgotten more than all of us will ever know combined. He's our Dad when we need him but don't want him, our Brother when we can't stand him but love him. And, like Batman, he's always prepared for whatever.
Len is the creator of the Black Tribbles brand and producer of the flagship Black Tribbles Prime, produced two years of Black Tribbles Squared for 900AM WURD, is executive producer of WHYY's Tribble Nation, produces the BT Specials such as Spoiled Tribbles and Tribbles Afterdark, curates the annual Afrofuturistic Octavia City special events, co-produces Gutter Talk with PopTards Go, is lead graphic designer (everything from the logo to the promo flyers to the website - all him!) and co-produces the weekly movie podcast The Micheaux Mission with Vincent Williams and writes/illustrates the weekly webcomic Heaven Sent with his daughter Olivia.
So forgive him while he catches a few ZZZs.
The only reason Len has time to do all this Tribblin' is because he's already done the hard part - raised a beautiful successful young woman. His daughter Olivia is an Airman 1st Class in the United States Air Force with a tour of Afghanistan already under her belt. She lives the professional military life in New Mexico with her own growing family of husband named Calvin, a dog named Ivy, a cat named Gotham and a pig named Diana. Raise them geek; raise them right.
Back in the day Len used to act a little bit, hitting the stages and whatnot. He had a little something something. It was during the staged reading of Lee Colston's Roost in New York in 2012 that Len met actor Tony 'Shaka Zulu Tribble' Todd (Candyman, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, The Flash). Tony has grown to be a devoted friend of the show.
Most of Len's time is spent behind a mic these days but he finds time every year to do at least one play to keep the chops honed.
Without a doubt, Len's most memorable celebrity moment and his favorite show is his one-on-one interview with Star Trek's Nichelle Nichols. The woman was gracious, funny, royal and down to earth. All that and then some. There can only be one Queen Tribble.
Len famously argues on air with Kennedy (about everything, to hear her tell it) and wrangles the Hobbits, Erik and Jason, from time to time. But its the feuds about Arrow on CW, old school hip-hop phenoms and the night & day connection of their Tribbleness that make Len and Randy, BatTribble and SuperTribble, the undeniably World's Finest Tribbles (just look at them; they're gorgeous!)
All artwork by Len - including this cute toon of him with Olivia aka Wonder Tribble - is signed 'Cruze' - an old high school nickname that used to describe his basketball game before the gray hair showed up.
